Enough entries Voice block 2 (Feb ’25)
Have you always wanted to play in a jazzband? In this course you will be learning to play together and improvise with fellow musicians. We have room for all instrumentalists who want to improvise: drums, guitar, piano, bass, wind instruments and singers. Existing jazz bands are also welcome (read further below).
What will you be doing?
We will be playing well-known jazz standards, but lesser known and jazz-related pieces are also covered. There will also be opportunities to bring pieces of music yourself.
Attention is paid to instruments such as instrument exploration, soloing, phrasing, timing, dynamics, sound, form retention, diagrams and basic theory. You will also work on expanding your jazz repertoire.
The course is set up in such a way that you can play at the level that suits you best. To this effect, the teacher will put you into a group in advance (see registration procedure). You are expected to do homework at home and – if necessary – practice parts.
Registration procedure. (Enough entries voice)

2) Applicants will receive further information about the preliminary procedure later. The practice evening – to determine which band you might (!) be assigned to – for the course starting on 18 February is Tuesday evening 11 Febraury
The band classes will take place on Tuesday from 17:45-19:45 and from 20:15-22:15. Which band you are assigned to depends on your instrument and level. If there are too many registrations, you may not be able to be placed.
