Courses season 2026/2027
Every year, CREA organises around 700 courses, ranging from dance to visual arts and from theatre to photography.
Most of these are 10-week courses, but from this season onwards we also have 12-week courses, as well as shorter 5-week courses and special projects.
The programme for the 2026–2027 season is now available online. Students and young-alumni can register early from 22 July/12 hrs (noon). Enrolment opens to everyone on 2 September/12 hrs (noon).

Most of the block 1 courses is now published online. The remaining courses will be added no later than one week before the priority rule ends on 2 September.

- Start of 5-week courses: in the week of 2 november 2026
- Enrolments open – for students and young-alumni: Wednesday 22 July 2026 – 12:00
- Enrolments open – for old-alumni and employees/PhD (UvA) and others: Wednesdag 2 September 2026 – 12:00
- Course free week: 12 – 18 October 2025
- MADE in CREA: LIVE – course presentation weekend performing courses: Friday 18, Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 December 2026 (participation is optional).

The block of one-day courses have finished, but there may be more one-day courses later in the 2025-2026 season. When the time comes, you will find the link here.
In addition to regular courses, CREA also has a number of special projects and groups. For those who are looking for just that little bit of extra challenge or would like to get involved for a longer period of time.
For instance, you can join the CREA jazz and pop bands or dance in the choreography project. Or join Student Choir Amsterdam, the CREA orchestra or the Amsterdam Student Big Band!
