Want to work on your own performance or just make music, dance or sing freely? Rent a studio at our place!
With our wide choice of studios, from large dance rooms with mirrors to small piano studios, there is always a space to suit your artistic needs. Students rent a small piano studio for as little as €4 per hour!
All studios, except 3.02 and 3.03, are equipped with a sound system. You can connect a smartphone or other audio source via a mini-jack to tulip cable. Bring your own or buy one for € 6.50 at the reception desk. Microphones can be connected with an XLR cable and should be brought by yourself.

Book a studio

STEP 1: creating an account
You can book a studio if you have a personal account. Call the CREA desk on +31 (0) 20 399 1212 during opening hours to create an account.

STEP 2: add credit
Add credit to your account (max €999) via the CREA front desk or online. By logging in via the button below, you can also check how much credit is left on your account.

STEP 3: call and book your studio
Choose the right studio below and make sure you have enough balance for the intended number of hours. Call the CREA front desk to make a reservation. For a reservation, you pay directly, so only booking with sufficient balance is possible.
Studio cancellation
Cancel by phone or in person at the front desk. Cancellation is free of charge up to 24 hours before your reservation; after that you pay the full amount.
Rates per category
- Student rate: full-time students at WO, HBO, MBO and part-time students at UvA/HvA(AUAS) are eligible for the student rate. Please show valid proof at the counter, such as:
- A valid student card for the current academic year in combination with proof of enrolment.
- Or a provisional proof of enrolment.
- Or a confirmation of your registration with Studielink.
Please note: a Studenten OV-chipkaart is not valid proof that you are currently studying.
- Amateurs, cultural and educational institutions: CREA determines whether and if so what proof must be presented to qualify for this rate.
- Regular rate: no proof required.

Studio rentals terms & conditions
- Purpose of the rental: the studios are to be rented exclusively for rehearsals of performing arts. Meetings, giving or receiving workshops, lessons or courses are not allowed. Organising lessons or teaching in the studios is reserved for CREA alone. CREA determines whether a studio is suitable for the tenant’s intended use.
- CREA’s own use: CREA reserves the right to use the space for its own use. Reservations may therefore have to be cancelled or changed. In such cases CREA will contact the tenant in time.
- House rules: all users must adhere to the house rules, which can be found here >
- Hours and times: studios can only be booked for whole hours.
- Group bookings: for groups, the student discount only applies if more than half of the participants are able to proof that they are students.
- Cancellations: free of charge up to 24 hours before the reserved time. After that, the full amount will be charged.
- Long-term and special requests: please contact the secretariat at planning@crea.nl.
