Jort Terwijn
Bio:
My name is Jort Terwijn, living in Amsterdam and working as a double bass player, composer and teacher. As a double bass player, I play in various bands such as the Sam Newbould Quintet, the BvR Flamenco Bigband and the Teis Semey Quintet. I also write music for my own bass ensemble: ‘ÖNDER’.
As a teacher, I give private lessons to double bass and bass guitar students. At CREA, I teach the jazz bands.
In the ensembles, we work on traditional jazz (standards), Brazilian music, fusion and other jazz-related genres.
