Guitar: Basics

Have you always wanted to play the guitar but never got around to it? Or maybe you just can?t seem to learn it online and need a failsafe? Then this course is for you. 
 
In this course, we?ll work hard to develop a solid foundation on the guitar in just five days. We will enjoy making music and at the same time learn how to make it sound as beautiful as possible. 
 
What will we be doing? 
In this summer week you will develop a solid musical basis on the guitar. It consists of two parts: playing well-known songs by means of open chords, and playing melodies by means of note reading. After you have learned supporting chords and theory, you can start playing your first song. From then on you will mainly be using well-known songs to practice chords and percussion techniques, and so you will be making music while you learn.  
 
What will you be able to do at the end of the week? 
After you have completed the course, you will have completed the basic range of chords. You will have mastered the guitar technique to make chords sound good and change smoothly, and you will know how it all works in theory. You can tune your guitar, strum a bit and know what tablature is. Songs like ?Chasing Cars? and ?A Horse With No Name? then become your practice material. In addition, you can play simple melodies consisting of 6 notes, and you have a theoretical understanding of these as well. You have also experienced what it is like to play polyphonic pieces with your fellow course members.
