Mindfulness is a practical training in the practice of attention. You become more aware of your body and your bodily reactions, your thoughts, feelings and emotions. This awareness creates more space to choose how to deal with the obstacles present in everyone’s life. This offers more grip on life. Mindfulness does not focus on changing problems, but on changing your attitude towards them. You’ll be moving like a surfer on the waves of life instead of allowing yourself to be swamped and swept away.
What will you be doing?
During the sessions, you will practice increasing attention by doing a body scan, moving with attention and meditation. In addition, each session has its own theme, such as living consciously instead of on autopilot, exploring boundaries, responding to stress consciously, communicating with attention and self-care. There is always room to discuss the experiences after.
Mindfulness is a method that is grounded in science and has proven effective (evidence-based) to better cope with the volatility of life such as stress, worrying, insomnia, restlessness and difficult emotions.
