Are you fascinated by choreography in dance performances and music videos? In this course, you will get to work with choreographic material and learn to really bring it to life. We delve into the details of the choreography you will be given, so that you not only learn to perform, but also understand what makes a choreography powerful and compelling.
What will be doing?
In these classes, dance is not only a rhythmic and expressive work-out, but also training in multitasking: you will work on technique, timing, musicality, storytelling, formations and ensemble cooperation.
We also look at presentation: how do you communicate with an audience, how do you use space, and what changes when you dance in front of the camera instead of on a stage? What does it mean when the fourth wall disappears and how do you move when the camera moves with you?
This course challenges you to not only dance choreography, but also perform it, with attention to detail, expression and presence.
