basic conditions for studio rental

  • CREA rents studios for rehearsals of performing arts. Renting for meetings or giving or receiving workshops, lessons, courses etc. is not allowed. The organisation of lesson meetings is reserved for CREA only.
  • Studios can only be reserved for and on whole hours.
  • Reservations may have to be cancelled or changed because CREA is forced by circumstances to use the reserved studio for other purposes. CREA will contact you about this in advance.
  • CREA will determine whether a studio is suitable for the tenant’s intended use.
  • Groups can only make use of the student discount if more than half of the group demonstrably consists of students.
  • Cancellation is free of charge up to 24 hours before the relevant reservation. After that you will lose the entire amount.
  • For reservations for a longer term project or special wishes, please contact the CREA secretariat: planning@crea.nl.
  • This is an English translation. If and when uncertainty arises as to the interpretation of these conditions or in the event of a dispute concerning discrepancies between this translation and the original version in the Dutch language, the latter will prevail.

price categories

CREA will apply the following price categories for studio rental as of 5 September 2022:
student | amateur, cultural or educational institution | regular
Until it is proven that a tenant belongs to a lower price category, the highest rate will be applied.

You are a student according to CREA when you are enrolled full-time at an intermediate vocational education establishment (MBO), school for higher professional education establishment (HBO) or higher education establishment (WO), or when you are enrolled part-time at the UvA or HvA. You can prove this by showing one of the following proofs at the CREA desk:
– a valid student card for the current academic year combined with a proof of enrolment (physical copy or on your smartphone)
– ór a temporary proof of enrolment (physical copy or on your smartphone)
– ór a physical copy (or on your smartphone) of a confirmation of your application to Studielink
Please note: a Student Public-Transport card is not valid proof of being a student.

For the category amateurs, cultural or educational institution CREA determines whether or not, and if so which, evidence must be submitted in order to be eligible for this rate.

For the category regular, no evidence needs to be shown.
