Jori Meijer
Bio:
Jori Meijer is a dancer, choreographer and teacher, graduated from the Amsterdam School of the Arts – JMD/UCD 2015 as a performing dancer.
She has created several performances after her training, starting with voice/vocals and movement.
Besides her work as a choreographer and dancer, she has extensive experience as a teacher in dance and movement including classes for adults and children at Amsterdam Dance Center, Chassé Dance studios and Friends Call me Jim. She was also part of the Energy Movement team set up by Feadan McCall & Reve Terborg for several years.
Since 2022, she has been co-owner of the movement school Hiddenbody in Amsterdam. These classes cover various themes such as: handstand, mobility, coordination, acrobatics, balance, floorwork and meditation.
The lessons playfully connect the body, the brain and the environment. Theory is tested in practice and vice versa. She has attended workshops and studied with the leading names in ”Movement culture”: Marcello Palozzo, Shai Faran & Ido Portal.
