Electronic music exists in many different types: from trap, techno, ambient, hip-hop, singer-songwriter to more experimental forms. In short, it is music in which electronic sounds and beats play a role. Through Sound Design, music can be further developed sound-wise and also possibly integrated with moving images.
What will you do?
This week, as a participant, you can develop your own qualities and work on joint music productions: do you want to learn to mix well, record or produce your voice, or do you have more feeling for making electronic sounds? It’s all possible: you work together with the other musicians, producers, DJs, singer-songwriters and composers in the group. Step by step, you will learn to use the Ableton Live software in an informed and creative way.
In this summer course, we pay extra attention to the concept of Sound Design: the process of creating and transforming sounds electronically. During the week, you choose to produce your own song, or a soundscape, sound bursts or audiovisual productions for social media such as Instagram, for example.
