Do you enjoy telling a story in images? Have you always wanted to get started as an illustrator? Then this course is for you!
In one week, you will work with different association techniques to generate ideas so that your illustrations will have their own unique angle. The course will cover different forms of illustration in the editorial sphere and by the end of the course you will have a good idea of how broad this field is.
What will you be doing?
You will work on creating spot illustrations, covers, two pagers, designing characters and much more. Each class we will start analogue with pencil and paper, then you will work on improving your sketches and then work them out. You can work either digitally or in analogue. You can also choose to work analogue during the week, as there are many techniques you can explore. Think felt-tip pens, India ink, pencils, etc.
At the end of the course, you will have a small portfolio.
