Do you write your own lyrics, diaries, poems or Spoken Word, and would you like to combine this with music? Do you have a love of language and would like to start writing? Are you already singing, and would you like to understand the songs you sing better or give them your own twist?
Whether you already write your own songs and would like to develop your language and lyrics, write lyrics or poetry and would like to add music, or learn to interpret and perform lyrics from your own work or covers, it’s all covered in this course! Everyone is welcome, whether you just took a course in songwriting, Spoken Word, singing or performance and want to dive deeper into language, or have never written anything but are fascinated by lyrics.
What will we be doing?
In this course we will work on lyrics and everything that comes with it, our focus coming from the singer of the song and the lyrics. We will work on writing assignments, unleashing your creativity, and analysing lyrics to inventing melodies. We will also work on creating song structures and giving dynamics to your lyrics. Finally, we will also work on lyric interpretation and conveying it to an audience.
