Expressing yourself in the way you truly want, creating poetry with the language of our whole body.
Teacher Feadan McCall is schooled in modern and hiphop dance techniques and has started the Energy Movement collective, which offers space to experience, develop and deepen your own dance and increase your vocabulary in this. Through breath, dance tools and techniques and visualisations, as well as the groove of the music, you will get to know your body better, use it and express yourself. With improvisation, self-made or learned choreographies we express ourselves and listen to each other with respect, curiosity, and a big dose of fun!
How will we proceed?
We will start with a check-in, with yourself and with each other. We will listen to our breathing and then we will warm up our bodies. We will discover what is physically possible in terms of movement in the body. We do this with various techniques, tools and visualisations. We will also dive into our senses and make space to share the experiences with others.

Everyone is welcome. Dancing experience is not required.
This is a 10-week CREA course. The 10-week courses are divided into three blocks and so there are also three start times per season:

Block 1/fall: start in the week of 30 September 2024.
Priority registration for students and young-alumni until 9 September 2024 – 12:00. -
Block 2/winter: start in the week of 20 January 2025.
Priority enrolment for students and young-alumni until 16 December 2024 – 12:00. -
Block 3/spring: start from the week of 7 April 2025 (note: 9 weeks!).
Programme will be published in December 2024, priority for students and young-alumni from 8 January 2025 – 12:00 to 17 March 2025 – 12:00.
Course sessions take place weekly on the same day and time. Lessons that do not take place due to holidays, course-free periods or due to illness of the lecturer will be caught up at the end. So please note that a course may be extended by several weeks.

During this course, you will potentially work towards a final presentation as part of Made in CREA: LIVE, where several courses come together for a festive course block finale! Participation in the presentations is not mandatory.
