How does one make a good portrait of someone? Over the centuries many artists have attempted to capture the portrait in all kinds of numbers and sizes, while each face is different. What’s up with that?
What will you be doing?
With a few simple tools you will learn to master the basic principles of the portrait. You will learn how to apply schemas and size ratios and what to look out for. You will work with different techniques on the basis of simple assignments. These include pencil on paper, photography, and simple printing techniques such as monoprint. Of course there will also be a model regularly.
Walk-In-Studio Model Drawing
Can’t get enough? Every Saturday morning, from 10.30am to 1.00pm the walk-in-studio will practice model drawing with a (nude) model under supervision of CREA teachers.
