This course is divided into two parts. From the beginning, you will get to know academic art by drawing and sculpting the individual parts of the face, such as the eye, nose and mouth. We”ll figure out how the form works, where the light and shadow fall, how the forms interact with the environment, etc. By making quick sketches of each other or the model you learn about the importance of the character and emotion in the portrait. The second part of the course will consist of conceptual assignments in which you will work with your own image and learn how to express your thoughts visually.
What will you be doing?
You will draw, paint, write, sculpt from ceramic clay and make collages from different materials.
