
Sandra Kramerová
Bio:
Sandra Kramerová is a dance artist with international experience from Spain, The Netherlands, New York and Slovakia. She holds an MFA in Dance from Sarah Lawrence College in New York and has been supported by Fonds Podiumkunsten in The Netherlands within Nieuwe Makers Regeling (2021-2023).
Creating dances around the topics of womanhood, political and social oppression and ecology, Sandra uses dance as a tool for interdisciplinary expression and shares her artistic and teaching practice at Centro Superior Katarina Gurska, Nave 73 (Madrid) and CREA (Amsterdam).
Before participating in Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company’s International Dance Program in Israel Sandra received her BA in Choreography at University of Performing Arts in Slovakia. Sandra’s dance work has been presented at Frascati, CC Amstel, Pleintheater and Dansmakers in Amsterdam, Theater De Generator in Leiden, Schuur in Haarlem, Parktheater in Eindhoven, Theater Kikker in Utrecht, Concordia in Enschede (NL), Dixon Place, BAM Fisher, Danspace Project, The Secret Theater and National Bohemian Hall in New York (US), Nu dance fest in Bratislava and Malý Berlín in Trnava (SK) and Teatro Lagrada, Teatro La Usina and DT espacio escénico in Madrid (ESP). Her multimedia dance solo Body as a Weapon (2020) was listed among 5 best performances of 2020 by Het Parool.
In her teaching practice, Sandra looks for forms of movement informed by physical intention, somatic impulse and flow, fostering creativity and body-mind consciousness.
