Please note! For summer week courses, registrations close at 12:00 on the Monday before the start of the course (one week before the start). It is then decided whether the course has enough participants to go ahead. So, make sure to register on time!
During this course, we will go on an expedition to eccentric places in Amsterdam to find inspiration and work artistically on the spot, individually and collectively. We will work with land and street art, master the surrealist drawing method Cadavre Exquis and create and launch a large collective artwork. Finally, the result of the expedition will be presented in CREA.
What will we be doing?
The course begins with a dialogue and collaborative art session in the spirit of Socrates and the Surrealists in the CREA Café. In the days that follow, we will explore the NDSM wharf, visit NDSM Fuse and the Hope Box Home and STRAAT. We also visit the Ceuvel, Ruigoord and the beach. At each stop, we will engage in an inspiring place with a matching art expression and the collective artwork.
The course ends with the presentation of all Cadavre Exquis works in the CREA Café and the unveiling of the collective artwork in CREA’s exhibition space.
