Anastasia Kostner

Anastasia Kostner is a dance artist, choreographer and certified Rolfer originally from Italy, now based in Amsterdam. She has an international performance background, having worked with esteemed companies such as Vereinigte Bühnen Bozen, Roberto Castello, Les Gents D’Uterpan, and Thierry De Mey.

Anastasia has recently taken on a new role as a creator of her own work in the Netherlands, and in 2021 received support from the AFK and Voordekunst for her evening performance titled ‘Under the skin’. She has also worked as a choreographer for Between Two Hands at Over Het Ij Festival, Fabrik Azurro, and Sandra Kramerova in the Nieuwe Makers Regeling. Her own works have been performed in Theater de Generator, CC Amstel, Het Plein Theater, Belcampo and festivals such as WhyNot (NL), Transart (IT), Bolzano Danza (IT), La Bequée (FR), Mittelfest (IT), Bloomsbury (UK), Aterteater (IT), Dance Camera West (USA), Alps Move (IT). Her first creation received the Italian Anticorpi XL award for young emerging dance artists.

With a Master’s in Contemporary Dance Education HFMDK (D) and Dance in Community Postgraduate at Laban (UK), Anastasia’s teaching philosophy is a harmonious blend of diverse disciplines. She draws from her expertise in practices like Rolfing, Alexander Technique, Yoga, and Body Mind Centring, seamlessly weaving their insights into her teaching methods. This holistic approach enriches her classes, creating an empowering and transformative experience for participants.
