Would you like to sing? Then CREA is the right place for you. During this course you will learn that everyone is capable of using their voice. You will be able to sing higher, lower, more fully and more dynamically than you thought you were capable of. You will not only be able to carry a tune and reach the desired volume, but also incorporate your personal expression into your voice.
What will you be doing?
We will work on singing in groups. On the one hand you will get acquainted with technical aspects such as breath support, sound and posture. On the other hand, the focus lies on singing together and creating self-confidence while singing. At the end of the course you will dare much more and will be more confident with your own voice.
Abir’s classes
Abir is a versatile artist and songwriter, known as vocalist and guitarist of the indie rock band Hiqpy, which has performed at major Dutch pop stages and festivals such as Best Kept Secret and Paaspop. After graduating from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, she developed innovative teaching methods to convey music theory in an accessible and fun way, with a special focus on voice use. Her enthusiasm for music and voice encourages others to discover and develop their own voices.
Beth’s classes
Beth Aggett is a vocalist from London, United Kingdom. She is a published songwriter and has worked extensively in the pop and electronic music genres – recording, composing and arranging in collaboration with numerous artists. Beth has performed as both lead and backing vocalist at many renowned venues and festivals, in the UK and in Europe. Beth currently works as a vocal coach and choir conductor in Amsterdam.
Noël’s classes
Noël started playing music after being in the finals of the Junior Song Festival at the age of 11. She took music lessons as a teenager at the Junior Jazz College at the Amsterdam Conservatorium and then studied Jazz and Pop at the Utrecht Conservatorium. She performs frequently as a jazz singer and works as a singing teacher, taking great pleasure in polyphonic harmony singing. Meanwhile, she is also focusing on writing her own music in a completely different genre. In 2024, she released her EP ‘Orchid’, which rooted her as an artist in the world of house music.
