The model is a great basis for increasing your understanding of form, developing your powers of observation, and giving you the freedom to experiment with all kinds of materials.
What will we be doing?
You will work on the technique of representing proportions accurately. Meanwhile, you work on all kinds of aspects of drawing and painting: you practise line drawing in pencil and charcoal, light and shadow in black and white, coloured crayons and paints, such as gouache and acrylic, and all kinds of mixtures in between. You will work on varied sizes of paper from very small to large. With brushes, large brushes and sometimes with your fingers. A model is present in most of the lessons. Apart from the whole figure, we will also study the face (portrait), hands and feet.
Everyone can participate. The teacher guides everyone individually and will try to bring out everyone’s talent.
