Meggy Tucker

Bio:

Meggy is a multi-passionate, multi-faceted artist in the interdisciplinary arts. In University, she created her own interdisciplinary arts degree to include vocal performance, dance, film, and music therapy. During this time she was also a leading soloist in the Hugh Hodgson’s School of Music Opera program, a NCAA athlete on University of Georgia’s Dance Team, and an actress and on the art department of a multi award winning short film, Glory at Sea! Classically trained by a team from NYC’s Metropolitan Opera, Meggy considers herself extremely lucky to have learned vocal techniques from some of the world’s best singers, coaches, and teachers. After University, she went on to become a leading soloist on AIDA cruises with her own classical solo program and performed at a variety of venues around Germany including the renowned Hamburgisch Staatsoper.

As a teacher, Meggy is passionate to encourage people in stretching their comfort zones to explore their own expression through self compassionate curiosity and playfulness. Grounded in classical vocal techniques to stretch and strengthen your voice, her classes also include breath work and movement to get out of your head and into your instrument: your body. With her background in music therapy, Meggy prioritizes creating a safe space for creative exploration through a body based approach with an emphasis on mindfulness, personal development, and courageous vulnerability.
