Hugo de Graaf

Hugo de Graaf (he/him) is 27 years old and graduated from Dance Teacher at the AHK, and Physiotherapy at the HvA. Hugo teaches training at the “We are Queer” gym, and inclusion dance classes at DansPark and ReDiscover Me, among others. He also works as a maker for Theatre after Dam, among others, and participated in ISH Open Nights with Fleur van der Schaaf. He has a 6-month residency at the Mime Fabriek and has been involved as a dancer in La Isla Bonita’s “Statue of Amsterdam”, among others. He is queer and a transman. Within dance, he started young with ballet, which expanded into modern, show and jazz in his teens. In 2015, he did two years of the 5 o’clock Peer Performance at the AHK, and in 2017 he started the Dance Teacher course. The main thing he took from this is the sense of community where there is also space to discover yourself and your own body. This will be the focus during his classes.
