Hugo de Graaf

Hugo de Graaf (he/him) is 25 years old and a fourth-year student Dance in Education at the AHK. He is also graduating from the Physiotherapy studies at the HvA and is on the board of HvA Pride for the second academic year. Hugo enjoys going to the ‘We are Queer’ gym, and also gives training sessions there. He is queer and a trans man. Within dance, he started young with ballet, which expanded into modern, show and jazz in his teens. In 2015, he did two years of the 5 o’clock Peer Performance at the AHK, and in 2017 he started studying the Dance in Education programme. He has already gained a lot of experience at various internships, including at Stichting ReDiscover Me, DansPark and Stichting De Dansonderneming. The main thing he took from these is the sense of community where there is also space to discover yourself and your own body. This will be the focus during his classes.
