Painting is a bit like magic. The magic of color and paint can amaze you. The tactile power of the material, the hand of the master, can take and immerse you in the ideas, vision and fantasy of the maker. Of course painting can be difficult, but doing it gives you a feeling of freedom. Through playing around with the paint and mixing the colors, you develop your skills and learn to really ‘see’. This opens up new possibilities to develop your imagination and your own ideas.
What will you be doing?
In these ten lessons we work with two types of watercolor. Acrylic paint, with which you can endlessly paint in thin but also very thick layers. And gouache, a paint that flows and flows and makes brilliant colors shine, both transparent and very opaque.
We work on various assignments in small and large formats in which a technical skill is always hidden. We will do portraits and modelpaintings and we will sometimes study a still life. We work from self-made photos and our own ideas. Also you will learn to mix colors and discover light and shadow with pointed brushes, large brushes, fingers, rags and sponges.
Walk-In-Studio Model Drawing
