Please note! For summer week courses, registrations close at 12:00 on the Monday before the start of the course (one week before the start). It is then decided whether the course has enough participants to go ahead. So, make sure to register on time!
Etching is first and foremost a drawing technique which, although ancient, has never lost its topicality.
In this course, you will learn many different printing techniques, including etching. During the week, there is a build-up in which the techniques become slightly more complicated with each lesson. You will learn to make use of the surprise effect that graphics have and how to capitalise on it. From the immediacy of the dry needle, we move on to more elaborate line drawings and techniques to print a broad palette of tones and colour differences. It is always a surprise how the print becomes, and together you look, reflect and decide what can still be changed about your plate. This is a special process, time and time again.
