Do you love to sing? Do you love improv theatre? This day course brings the best of both worlds together!
Singing in improv theatre brings so much joy to everyone! There’s no better place to sing than on stage or in a rehearsal space with your fellow improvisors. And it’s easier than you might think. Everyone can do it.
What will we be doing?
In this day course you can top off your improv skills and amaze the crowd! We’ll sing a lot and work on expending our improv with songs the best way we can. We’ll be accompanied by a live pianist.
This course is open for anyone interested in improvised singing. You don’t need any singing or improv experience. Everyone can sing in improv. It does help if you can stick to a rhythm and it’s important that you enjoy to sing. Even if you just sing in the shower!
We’ll work on skills to make singing in improv easy and simple. You’ll practise rhyme and rhythm and learn some song structures. You’ll learn that you can find harmony, how having a great voice isn’t important at all and how confidence is a matter of fake it till you make it. And most of all: you’ll have a lot of fun and gain a lot of energy and confidence!
