Dimitar Bodurov

Bio:

Dimitar Bodurov (1979) is a Bulgarian jazz pianist and composer based in Amsterdam. Known for his unique blend of jazz improvisation, classical composition, folklore, and electronica, he has performed widely across Europe and earned international recognition, including a special mention at the Martial Solal Jazz Solo Piano Competition in Paris (2010). Bodurov has released numerous albums, and in 2012 founded his label Optomusic, which has hosted collaborations with renowned musicians like Theodosii Spassov, Sandip Bhattacharya, Michael Moore, and others. As a composer, he has been commissioned by leading festivals, such as the Holland Festival, Operadagen Rotterdam, and Sofia Music Weeks. He is also an active cultural organizer, most notably as artistic director of Radar Festival in Varna, Bulgaria, since 2013.
