Work at your own pace and develop your hand-building projects with technical support.
Explore different clays—terracotta, white and black, smooth or rough, and porcelain. Choose what fits your project. It can be small and simple, or more complex and span multiple sessions. Your work will be kept moist and soft so you can continue across sessions.
We have a range of glazes: matte, glossy, transparent, and opaque, plus underglaze and overglaze pigments for painting.
What will you be doing?
The first session starts with a group project to introduce clay types and basic techniques. After that, bring your own ideas and we’ll discuss them together before you begin. An experienced teacher will provide technical guidance as you work.
This course is intended for you to work on a project of your choosing over the course of several weeks. Unlike other courses this course will not be based on presribed exercises for each session.
