At CREA, we like to give a stage to creativity. Our open mic nights are the chance for students and other creative people to show their talent in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere. Whether you are taking your first steps on stage or want to try new things, CREA is the place to be!
CREA hosts two regular open mic nights: Plug and Play in the music hall and Open Stage in the CREA café.
On Saturday 14 November 2026, CREA Plug and Play and CREA café Open Stage will once again join forces for a new edition of the open mic event CREA GO PLAY!
Have you always wanted to perform at a festival, but never knew where to start? This is your chance!
CREA Plug and Play and CREA Open Stage (organised by the CREA café & Geregeld Ontregeld) are proud to announce the GO PLAY festival on 14 November 2026!
Both the CREA music hall and the café will host a programme giving various artists the chance to gain stage experience and try out new acts. From theatre to singing, from dance to comedy. From raucous performances in the music hall to intimate spoken word in the café.
We invite all artists (whether just starting out or experienced) who are part of the CREA community to sign up.
Deadline: 1 October 2026
Within two weeks after the deadline, we’ll let you know whether you’ve been selected to perform and, if so, at what time.
For those who like things a bit more intimate, there is the CREA café Open Stage on every first Monday of the month in the CREA Café. Here you get the chance to do your thing as a singer-songwriter, spoken word artist or solo performer in a cosy setting. First come, first serve-so if you sign up on time you get to participate anyway!
Open stage is organised by GEREGELD ONTREGELD and the CREA café and is a place for hidden (or not so hidden) talent that should not go undiscovered for the café’s visitors and staff.

Plug and Play is CREA’s monthly open mic night on Saturdays, where bigger musical acts and bands perform in the CREA music hall. A platform for young and emerging artists to perform and present their work to a live audience.
You can apply again from September 2026 for next Plug and Play season!
