In een speelse omgeving verkennen we vormen van samen bewegen in een mix van techniek en improvisatie. En gaan we op onderzoek uit: hoe krijgt beweging betekenis?
In deze cursus ga je versteld staan van je eigen kracht, blijk je flexibeler dan je dacht en heb je naderhand hopelijk niet te veel spierpijn. En wie weet een aantal nieuwe vrienden die je allemaal een keer hebt opgetild.

Wat gaan we doen?
We gaan gebruik maken van partneracrobatiek, movement, playfight en contact improvisatie, dans en (soft) acrobatisch.
Je werkt als groep, in duo’s of solo en iedere dag bewegen we vanuit een ander ’fysiek thema’ zoals dragen, duwen, liften of pakken. Zo maken we een aantal korte bewegingstheater-scenes.
Het motto van docent Marrit is: “bewegen is bewogen worden”. Heb je zin om een weekje mee te bewegen?

Tijdens deze cursus ga je onderzoeken wat jouw smaak is, wie jij bent als maker/speler, hoe dat kan aansluiten bij een andere maker/speler, en hoe dat kan leiden tot een presenteerbare vorm die 100% jou is. Je wordt daarbij gecoacht op helderheid van keuzes en cohesie van alle theatrale elementen. Ook improvisatie, techniek, expressie en timing komen daarbij aan bod.

Wat gaan we doen?
Je leert tijdens deze cursus mini-voorstellinkjes maken. Je maakt presentaties, die mooi, grappig, inspirerend, ontroerend of fascinerend zijn. Soms duurt een sketch maar een minuut, soms 10 minuten. Elke theatraal middel mag worden ingezet: tekst, beweging, dans, muziek, dialoog, monoloog, zang, mime, kleding, decor, interactie.

Verder: over smaak valt niet te twisten, dus dat doen we niet.

This course explores singing as a full body, expressive practice. Through movement, breathwork, and vocal technique, you will develop a deeper connection to your voice and learn to sing with greater freedom and authenticity.

What will we be doing?
Each class begins with movement, breathwork, and vocal warm-ups, with varying focus throughout the course. Mindfulness is woven into all sessions.
In a supportive masterclass format, students will sing for one another and receive individual guidance. By working 1:1 and learning through observation, you’ll discover new pathways to express yourself authentically.
Together, we explore how to learn, prepare, embody, and perform a song, while developing vocal technique and expression through an embodied, felt understanding.
Throughout the course we will experiment with ways to learn a song, vocally prepare a song, emotionally embody a song, and authentically express and perform a song. We will also learn how to prepare our bodies to sing and the more technical aspects of singing which require the process of exploring a new language to speak with the body on a felt sense level.

In this course, you will learn to sculpt ceramic pieces for outdoor gardens and windowsills, including sculptures, plant pots, and other garden-related forms. The ceramic studio is ours for the whole week, and you can come with your own ideas — whether you prefer to work on one piece for all five days, create many smaller works, or even make other ceramics such as cups and teapots for your home, it’s entirely up to you.

What will we be doing?
We will work with different clays and textures, drawing inspiration from botanical elements to enrich the surfaces. You’ll have access to a wide range of ceramic pigments and underglazes to colour your pieces.
Along the way, you’ll be introduced to a variety of hand-building and sculpting techniques, giving you a solid, practical foundation in ceramics.
In addition to the week, you will come back one afternoon at the end of summer to glaze your fired works.

Have you ever been captivated by a figure or still life, wishing you could capture its essence on canvas?
During this course, you will transform from an admirer of art into a capable painter. We will break down the essentials ? composition, color theory, light and shadow ? making them easy to understand and apply.

What will you be doing?
You’ll master the art of drawing and painting figures and still life, learning how to craft captivating compositions that tell a story. You won?t just learn the techniques, but also be taught how to bring out your unique personality into your work. The energetic and fun atmosphere will keep you motivated as you explore different painting styles and experiment with various high-quality materials.
