During the summer course you will learn choreographies with different dance forms within the urban dance/ open style choreography. Styles such as hip-hop, street styles, house and dance hall are alternated. Céline will lead you through the different styles with a mix of songs from different music genres. Together, we will also look for nice locations to film the videos. At the end of the week we will watch the results together on the big screen of the Crea theatre. Of course, you will also receive the files to take home.
What will you be doing?
We’ll be starting with a warming up, to make sure we start learning the choreo’s with lots of energy. During the week we’ll be dancing to different songs untill everyone feels ready. After lunch we’ll be walking/biking to find amazing locations that will be our background for our music video. We’ll be experimenting the effects of different terrains, seeing what happens when we dance by water, or by a building site and together we’ll think about outfits to complete our vision. You’ll get some tips and tricks concerning filming and editing, en you’ll get the opportunity to film and learn how to use a gimbel. With a gimbel or stabilizer you’ll be able to learn trick to give your video a cinematic look, which is something we’ll be playing around with this summer course.
