Are you looking for an instrument that you can play yourself and that fits in your backpack? Then maybe the ukulele is for you!
 
What will you do?
In eight weeks you will learn the basics of the ukulele. You will learn about different fingerings (chords) and how to play them with a good right-hand technique (strokes). In addition, you will learn supporting music theory to help you understand what you are doing. At the end of the course, you will be able to play a number of well-known songs. The ukulele can also be a practical stepping stone to the guitar, as the grips are partly similar. 
 
How will we proceed?
You will follow the online ukulele course via Zoom. Lessons take place in a group of max. 5 students. Lessons will only be given on the soprano, concert or tenor ukulele.
 
Each lesson starts with a short moment in which you play your homework. The teacher can then see how you are doing and you have the opportunity to ask questions. It is also instructive to see how your fellow students are playing. The new material is then explained. You will work with this in class. At the end of the lesson you will receive your homework for the coming week.
 
What do you need?
A ukulele of your own is required. You will also need a folder with A4 sheets in it and possibly the GuitarTuna app or a tuner.
 
What should you be able to do?
This course is for beginners on the instrument. If desired, the teacher can be asked for advice about buying a ukulele before the lessons start.
