Course(s) April/May start online
The April/May courses will start online and will be taught online for an unknown number of classes. As soon as lessons can take place at CREA again, real life courses will switch to lessons in the CREA building. For the duration that the course is taught online, the teacher describes the course as follows:
Online courses by Sander: The last 3 course blocks I gave were partly in person and partly online. The course participants learnt a lot about their camera and lenses and how to use the photography techniques that were discussed. This time, it will be no different. Each week, there are specific assignments during the lessons and also as ‘homework’, linked to what has just been discussed. Via ZOOM, I will send you an invite you every week, just before the lesson and we will get together for instruction, to share experiences and especially to see and discuss each other’s images. Sometimes someone will bring up or show a photo book, which can give rise to new input in the lessons. Selecting and editing images is done on your own computer at home and when we are allowed to physically go into CREA again, there will be a photo studio and a classroom with computers waiting for us, so we can also work with Photoshop for the final touches.
Online courses by Marzia: My online classes will be held on a collective Zoom-meeting. You only need a computer with a webcam and mic and of course your camera. Every week I will lectures on photography techniques. Then, through the artwork of historical and contemporary photographer (photographer of the week) we will explore methods and aesthetics. During the lesson there will be time to investigate your camera and discover what many of the buttons on the camera are there for. So to be able to apply right away the techniques just exposed. Based on the photographer of the week, there will be a photo assignments to realise home. To discuss and comment the on your photos you will have to send me the assignment via WeTransfer. I will show some editing techniques both on Photoshop and Lightroom. If you do not have them I will offer you free alternatives.
