This course is designed to provide you with a strong foundation in fashion design through sketching and illustration. Whether you’re new to fashion or looking to refine your skills, or want to focus on a new approach to drawing, this course will help you express your creative ideas visually, from initial concept to finished design. We’ll focus on building your technical drawing skills while encouraging your unique artistic voice.
What will we be doing?
In this course, you will explore the fundamentals of 2D fashion design. You will learn to create fashion illustrations flat technical sketches that convey your designs clearly and professionally. We will cover topics such as proportions, fabric rendering, and detailing garments. Throughout the course, you’ll work on creating your own mini-collection, starting with mood boards and inspiration, then moving through to finalized designs.
