CREA x United painting presents Visual Interventions summer edition
CREA x United Painting invites you to work together this summer on a larger-than-life work of art during the summer course Visual Intervention!
In this week you will learn the basics of making a huge visual intervention in public space. In this case, we will make a mega-sized, movable carpet on which a word is depicted. You will learn, among other things through various painting techniques, what it means to create a massive work of art in a group, from a social perspective, which will also be included in a series of artworks that United Painting is currently creating for various museums and organisations.
How will we proceed?
We will work from the United Painting approach of working together flexibly to create a larger-than-life result, and above all: learning by doing. First we think about the reason for the work: “What message (or statement) do we want to convey in this specific place? At the same time we focus on the physical result: what are we going to make, how is the process and how do we share the story?
At the end of the week we will have gone through an intensive creative process together and made a huge work of art that we can place in different places or that might even get a permanent place in the CREA building.
