CREA is proud to have Dre Urhahn of United Painting come to teach a course on Visual Intervention.
In 2005, the gigantic artworks of Favela Painting Project, realized together with the inhabitants of favelas in Rio de Janeiro – gained world fame. Inspired by the impact of this project, the United Painting crew is creating large-scale visual interventions around the world, together with local communities, at the intersection of community, art and social design.

What will you be doing?
In this course you will discover the world of visual interventions from the how to the why. How to conceive, design and realize them. From choosing materials and the practical painting to research, planning, approach, ethics and of course the collaboration with different communities. Visual Interventions connects art with social impact.
