In this creative and sustainable day course, you will learn how to make a stylish and handy tote bag from recycled materials. So, bring your old clothes and fabrics and, of course, your sewing machine! There’s plenty of inspiration and extra supplies to use and to give your tote bag a personal touch. At the end of the day, you will go home with your own design brought to life as a recycled tote bag that you can use for years to come!
What will we be doing?
We will start the day by deciding which bag you will make, there will be several examples available for you to work with. You can also make variations and give it your very own touch. Bell will guide you through that.
Then we will select which materials to use and get to work. We’ll learn how to make patchwork or other fun details to customise your tote.
In addition to a sewing machine, bring materials such as old clothing that you no longer wear but of which you still like the fabric, old tablecloths, fabrics, or other things that you would like to work with!
