Illustrations are drawings that are often made with a specific purpose: for an article or in a book, as a cover image, on a calendar, postcard, you name it. That”s what we call applied art. In this course we will focus on that aspect: what do you have to deal with when you make drawings within the framework of an assignment? By means of short and longer exercises and drawing assignments you will get acquainted with different techniques and materials. You will learn how to develop and elaborate on your own idea.
What will you be doing?
You will also get acquainted with the technical side: publishing an illustration. What is involved, and what do you take into account?
This course is part of the Illustration course, but can also be taken separately!
