Figurative painting

This course covers the basics of figure and portrait. The aim will be to create a complete artwork by the end of it.
 
What will we be doing?
At the beginning of the workshop, we will have introduction of the course, starting with a presentation of a collection of art. Then, we will look at how to start painting a portrait and figure, how to choose the subject and how to start a painting with a brush, or using other techniques like painting in acrylic charcoal, collage (work of art in which pieces of paper, photographs, fabric, and other ephemera are arranged and stuck down onto a supporting surface) and other medium using a step-by-step procedure.
 
There will be a discussion on brushes, mediums, full and limited palettes in terms of colour, value, temperature, and intensity. We will also discuss how to mix any colour on palette, and how to master complementary colours, simultaneous contrast, and paint texture.
